Good Morning Melissa,
A couple weeks ago, I aimlessly wandered into your office to get some basic information of the services your company offers. You were extremely pleasant, patient, and with a professional demeanor answered all of my questions. As I explained my current situation to you and the changing behaviors of my mother, you showed empathy and provided a variety of suggestions and choices for me. Upon your suggestion so you could better serve my needs, I took my mom for Altzheimer testing and found that she has moderate Altzheimer. I think I knew this in the back of my mind for some time but when your mom lives with you and you care for her the best you can, you really don't realize how fast the disease can change your daily activities, conversations, and behavior patterns.
You then followed up with an email to check and see if I was interested in a free in home consultation. So glad I called you and arranged that consultation with Lindsey. She was awesome! Lindsey projected a caring impression the moment she entered my home. Her personality, her knowledge, and understanding is a definite asset to the Homelife Company. We pleasantly discussed the ever changing needs I have in caring for my mother and how I feel I am at another stage in my full time elderly care of her. Lindsey was very professional yet exhuberates a caring attitude. My mom has been refusing any "stranger in the house" care for the past couple years now and I knew this would be a little difficult to accomplish. After Lindsey documented all of the pertinent information she needed we agreed to make arrangements for a companion caregiver on Saturday.
In comes Laurie on Saturday! I was so nervous and could tell my mom was thinking real hard and very skeptical!! Laurie also was extremely professional but showed such a caring, sweet, and patient demeanor. She won my sometimes difficult mother over! I called and checked on them several times during the course of the day. Each time Laurie assured me that my mother was doing well. She reported to me when my mother ate her meals, made sure she was drinking as not to get dehydrated, they took a walk which she needs to do for her circulation (and I usually have to fight her to do!).
Laurie let me know that my mom took a nap and they talked for hours. I would like to commend Laurie for a job well done and please let her know that I definitely will be requesting her anytime I have the need for companion care again in the near future.
Melissa, please make sure that Lindsey and Laurie receive this email and compliments that are so deserving. I would like to say that many people eventually come to a point in their lives where they find they need help/assistance for their parents or loved ones and I will happily be referring them to Homelife! Thank you for a wonderful experience! This is a first class caring operation from bottom to top!
